Ask anyone, I never pull out. Since 2012 I've registered and completed sixteen marathons through-out the United States. I've never had an issue with training or gaining the mental capacity to run 26.2 miles in under 3-hours. With all of this said, I've decided to defer my 2018 Chicago Marathon.
At the end of 2016 I made a promise to myself to take a year off of racing. Following my unsuccessful Boston Marathon and the semi-successful Chicago Marathon I decided it was time to relax, enjoy life, and not focus on racing for the next year. Well... here I am in 2017 trying to not focus on racing, trying to enjoy life, and trying to rebrand myself outside of running.
Recently I was interviewed by Balance Gym to share a little more about myself, my fitness background, and iRunFit. It's through this interview I'm able to take the time to introduce myself, tell individuals a little more about myself, my running experience, and where I see iRunFit in the future. For those of you who already know me and have trained with me this will be a little reminder but also another great way to learn something you may have not known.
Another year another race. This year I started my half marathon session with the Rock ‘n’ Roll DC Half Marathon in Washington, DC. As a new runner to half marathons this was my third half in my running journey and I couldn’t be anymore excited and happy about starting 2015 with this Washington, DC race.
